NASA plans more outreach to Muslim countries – The Write Stuff – Orlando Sentinel

NASA plans more outreach to Muslim countries – The Write Stuff – Orlando Sentinel According to Robert Gibbs, Obama never told Charlie Bolden, Chief NASA Administrator to find ways to reach out to Muslims. Mr Gibbs thinks perhaps Mr. Bolden "misspoke" about said outreach on Al Jazeera TV recently. So what is the truth? Did the Obama administration just decide this was all a bad idea and they should just move on? Are they trying to throw yet another administrator under the bus for "misspeaking?" By the way, have you noticed how many administrators seem to end up under the bus for "misspeaking?" But I digress. Check out this article from the Orlando Sentinel published last February where Mr. Bolden, speaking to a group of young engineering students, specifically mentions NASA's plans to reach out to Indonesia as the country with the largest Muslim population in the world. So if what Mr Bolden said in his Al Jazeera interview was not true, then why didn't the Obama administration clear this up at the time this article was published?

It seems pretty clear to me there was no "misspeak" on Mr. Bolden's part. In fact Mr. Bolden has been very clear about his mission. It must be very discouraging to carry out your assigned duties to the best of your ability, only to have the White House Press Corps chief tell the world you "misspoke." I hope more information will be coming out about this.
