Atheists 'Hate' Sign Blasted In Lawsuit

A political candidate in Illinois has filed a lawsuit against the state claiming it officially expressed hate and hostility towards Christians by allowing atheists to post a sign at the capitol building. Click on the title for details. The sign was posted by the Freedom from Religion Foundation which has posted signs near nativity scenes in the past. The lawsuit claims a violation of the 14th amendment which states there be no hostility expressed towards any religion, in this case Christianity. The defense claims that posting the sign is an exercise in free speech, protected under the First Amendment. It is news to me that one amendment would trump the other. I thought they worked in concert. What would have happened had a Christian church or organization posted a sign in a public building deliberately targeting atheists? Lawsuits and arrests would abound!

The Freedom From Religion Foundation has the right to promote its view but not at the expense of others. If they have a right to post a sign, every Christian church and organization should have the right to post a sign in a public building. Because of separation of church and state this does not occur and probably rightly so. The Freedom From Religion Foundation most likely will claim exemption from the 14th amendment by stating they are not a religious group. However, they are a belief system in that they most fervently believe (wish) that God does not exist and that religions are false. Not only that but they also expend an incredible amount of money and effort trying to convince others. For a Foundation that professes not to believe in God or religion they sure talk about them a lot! In a twisted sort of way, atheism requires a belief in God because in order to disbelieve something one has to accept its existence in the first place. Therefore, since they focus on God and religion so much, the 14th amendment should apply to them as well as any other God based group. In other words we should either all be allowed to post signs or no one be allowed to post signs on public property. Unfortunately what usually happens is that the rights of the non believers prevail over the believers. Why is that?

The reason I think this keeps happening is that most Christian Americans do take their freedom of speech rights pretty seriously. We want everyone to have the right to their opinion because we know that if they have the right we will as well. But the problem is that we have allowed expression of other views at the expense of our own. We have lost touch with the Christian foundation of our country. To rectify this we need to turn to the Bible, and then to the biographies and written works of our founding fathers and mothers to learn how their beliefs shaped this country. It is time for Christians to stand up for their beliefs. It is time to count the cost. Otherwise we will lose more than a lawsuit, we will lose this country.

It’s Official – Tony Blair A Murderer And A Liar – England Surrendering To Islam

It’s Official – Tony Blair A Murderer And A Liar – England Surrendering To Islam So now the Chilcot Inquiry has branded Tony Blair a liar and murderer for standing with us over Iraq. What really ticked them off was that he was unapologetic, saying he would do it again if he had to. There is a link in this post to the original article and the comments attached to it are well worth the read. England has basically written him off as a traitor! So...anyone think this could happen here?

Obama, Republicans Clash In Unusual Session

Wow, check out this Reuters report on the Obama-GOP meeting and compare it with the previous post which is the Heritage Foundation report. What a difference! Don't take my word for it--compare the two and see for yourself. By the way for proof of Republican legislative activity (or any legislative activity) check out the Congressional Record. Marsha Blackburn (previous post) is telling the truth about the numerous bills and proposals that Republicans initiated and that were subsequently ignored. So is the President truly seeking a bipartisan solution or is he just trying to browbeat the Republicans into going along with his agenda? As I have said before, my money is on the latter.

President Obama Talks Bipartisanship, But the Reality Is Different

Check out Mike Brownfield's (from The Heritage Foundation) thoughts and observations on President Obama's meeting with the House GOP in Baltimore. On the surface it would seem that the most useful thing Obama learned was that the house leadership shut out the GOP and the American people. In fact he acted like this was the first time he heard about it and at the end of the meeting we were all left with the feeling that he will at last do something about it. I am not buying it. I think he knew about it all along and, by his silence and lack of intervention, tacitly supported the obstructionist behavior. If he was truly interested in a bipartisan solution he should have insisted on it from the very beginning. If he had we might have had a bipartisan health care reform bill long before now. As Representative Roskam courageously pointed out, Obama worked at and achieved bipartisan solutions on many issues as a senator. He obviously is skilled at working across the aisle. So one has to wonder just what the heck happened to that ability? Either he supported the leadership or he was too naive, too intimidated and too inexperienced to know when to intervene in the process. The bottom line is will he learn from his mistakes or will he continue on the same path because that is where his heart really lies? Time will tell, but my money is on the latter.

A SECOND NEW APPROACH TO HEALTH REFORM

A SECOND NEW APPROACH TO HEALTH REFORM Here are some more good ideas outlined in The Empowering Patients First Act, H. R. 3400, sponsored by Rep. Tom Price (R-GA). This should blow holes in the tired old tirade that the Republicans are the "party of no" and "the party of no ideas." These ideas were there all along; the dems just didn't want to listen.

A NEW APPROACH TO HEALTH REFORM

A NEW APPROACH TO HEALTH REFORM Senator Paul Ryan is reintroducing his health care proposal titled "Road Map to America's Future." I really hope the dems listen this time because his plan has some really good ideas to contain costs and increase coverage. Click on the title to read the details.

Hugh Hewitt : The Democrats' Political Death Wish - Townhall.com More updates from Hugh Hewitt about the possibility of reconciliation and the democrats' desire to get health care through at any cost. He recommends individuals and organizations renew and double their efforts to stop Obamacare. We are dealing with legislators who don't care and seem to think they have nothing to lose. I think they have become totally unhinged and it is scary to think of the consequences their actions will have on the rest of us. So in concert with Mr Hewitt I implore those reading this blog to please, please please call, email, send faxes to your senators and congressmen! We can't afford to give up and we need to kill this bill once and for all.

"Where the Hell is Secretary Napolitano?"

This was the question Rep Chris Carney (D-PA) had when Janet Napolitano did not show up for the Homeland Security Committee meeting where they examined the attempted Christmas Day bombing of Northwest Flight 253. She sent her deputy to testify instead. I wonder what could have kept her away? Was she afraid of having to answer to why she thought the system worked? Or was she busy meeting with Muslim and Arab leaders helping them plan the next attack (see previous post)? At least now the committee knows her priorities now, and they are certainly not the security and welfare of this country.

POLITICO 44: Napolitano Meets Ethnic Leaders

POLITICO 44: Sharing more data It is very worrisome that Janet Napolitano is meeting with Muslim and Arab leaders to engage, share data and "increase cooperation" on security concerns. She doesn't have a good track record so far! The Muslim and Arab leaders no doubt are delighted to have this opportunity to gain access to all kinds of information that could potentially be used against us. Everytime I say "I can't believe this administration is doing this" they do something worse. Perhaps I should just start believing it. Maybe then they will stop--ha! Seriously though with leaders like this who needs enemies?

A Man On His Way To Bitterness

Click on the title to read about how someone behaves when he has ideas but he really doesn't know how to implement them or get people to carry them out. This is how children get when they don't get their way. We don't need a child president. We need a real leader. A real leader brings people together and searches for common ground. We might have had health care reform by now if Obama had insisted on a bipartisan plan from the beginning, one that would work for at least most of the people in this country. He should have repeatedly sent Reid and Pelosi back to the Republicans and had them work and work until they found that common ground. Instead he allowed the dems to shut out the Republicans and cut horrific back room deals. This action alone signifies a deep desire to put his own radical agenda over that of the American people. He would like us to believe he wasn't responsible for all those back room deals ("I didn't cut those deals") but the bottom line is that he encouraged the environment that allowed those things to happen. His silence implied tacit support of anything that would allow his radical agenda to pass. He wants us to think he has shouldered the blame, that he has changed and he can deliver a hell of a speech to make us think so. This means that we must all realize the koolaid still has potency even though more and more people are becoming aware and immune to it's effects. The task before us now is to stay alert, stay informed, and stay away from the kool aid. We also must continue to contact our senators and congressman concerning health care, and other important issues. Even though jobs and the economy are now the top focus, we can't count on the dems to drop their brand of health care reform. We can never again allow congress to operate without direct oversight from the American people. We can never again allow health care or any other issue to become the total domain of one party. We must fight for common ground and fight for meaningful reforms that will really cut costs and really help the American people.

Help Wanted: $24,000 Plus Health Insurance to Stop Glenn Beck and 'Teabaggers'

OMG, I can't believe it. Apparently there are help wanted ads on Craig's List offering to pay 24,000 dollars plus health insurance to grass roots organizers working to help stop Glenn Beck and the tea party movement. And here I am doing this blog for free! Who is going to pay me for my efforts to stop Obama and his nutjob agenda?? I am really in the wrong business! Ha! Apparently though no one has been able to get any information when they have followed up on these ads so it might just be a prank. But if it isn't this will just be another example of how determined some of these people are to push through Obama's agenda.

Will the Real Ellie Light Please Stand Up?

Apparently Ellie Light called into a radio show and fessed up to her letter spamming scheme, which I shall call "lettergate." Since I am a nurse it is hard for me to imagine any traveling nurse having the time to write letters to the editors of over 70 newspapers. After a busy day at work I have trouble mustering up the energy to write just one letter. But that's just me! I really doubt this person is the real deal. What is sad to me is that the letters to the editor section was the only section I really pay attention to in any newspaper these days. Now I won't even be able to trust that!

President Obama: Lack of transparency a 'mistake' - Josh Gerstein - POLITICO.com#commentsform#commentsform#commentsform#commentsform#commentsform On the surface it looks like he is admitting mistakes made and taking responsibility. But we have to wonder why it had to happen this way in the first place. The question that comes to my mind is how can anyone who is supposed to be so smart be so stupid? The problem now is that even if he admits mistakes, he is going to have a very hard time getting control over the senate and congress. It is all well and good Mr. President to say you're sorry and won't do it again. But actions speak louder than words. Good luck with that!

"Don't Pull The Plug On My Baby!"

As a mom and a former neonatal intensive care nurse I cannot imagine how I would feel if I got a letter from a government health service telling me the day they intended to let my baby die. If this isn't a prime example of a "death panel" I don't know what is. Click on the title to read about Baby Isaiah, his brave parents and the government health care system that would like to let him die for his own good and the greater good. Then join the facebook group for Baby Isaiah and pray for him and his parents.

I worked in neonatal intensive care units for over 10 years. Many of the babies I took care of had little chance of survival but thanks to medical personnel who wouldn't give up and wouldn't play God, many of these babies have grown into adulthood. Some have problems, some don't. All are a source of great joy to their parents. The point is, we really have no way of knowing how some of these children will turn out. Don't these parents deserve a chance to see how much function their baby will have? Above all don't the parents and his physicians deserve to make decisions about his care without undue government interference? Do we really want to give our government the right to deprive any parent of a child?

We here in America need to realize that this is how government-run healthcare operates. While we may not have death panels per se, the amount of high risk care will definitely be rationed. Scenarios like this with Baby Isaiah will be far more commonplace. The decision to "pull the plug" would belong to the government rather than the parents and physician. We have the power right now to keep our government from going down this path. Keep up the pressure on your senators and congressmen. Tell them you don't want a government program that would allow a Baby Isaiah scenario to happen. Stop all efforts at government-run, socialized medicine now!

The Greatest Threat...Spiritual Decay

Click on the title to read an Army General's perspective on the greatest threat to our national security, that of the lack of spiritual leadership. Lt General Antwerp posits that "we are no longer a Nation under God and we are no longer led by those who understand the spiritual dimension of leadership envisioned and demonstrated by our founding fathers." He goes on to say that the military is a reflection of society and that spiritually weak societies cannot produce spiritually strong militaries. It is critical for military members to be spiritually strong to carry out their mission. Without spiritually strong leaders to guide them it is difficult, if not impossible for troops to grapple with the moral dilemmas and decisions they must make in the military.

Although Lt General Antwerp wrote his thesis in 1992, his thoughts have great bearing on what is going on in the military and in our society today. The political correctness we are witnessing in all levels of society threatens to: undermine belief in Christian principles; cripple the ability of chaplains to minister and witness to troops; decrease morale, and weaken resolve to carry out the mission. It would behoove civilian and military leaders alike to read this thesis and realize that misguided political correctness could potentially destroy our military and our country.

Muslim question persists in Army shooting - Washington Times So who do we blame? Looks like the Army may discipline certain individuals that gave the Ft Hood shooter a pass. It is all well and good to point the finger of blame at individuals if they deserve it but the only way to effect real change is a top down policy review. In my humble opinion lots more heads should roll over this debacle including those that instigated the policies of political correctness and sensitivity. If my family member had been a victim I would be going right to the top on this one.

I haven't seen this anywhere else so who knows if it is true or not. Scary to think he could have blown up a plane just to test the security systems or to generate a crisis! Wonder if he will get a medal or 72 virgins for sacrificing his butt and privates for the cause?

Newest Attack on Christianity: Noise Ordinances to Silence Worship

Click on the title to read about a church in the UK who has won a legal battle against a noise ordinance. Secularists are using such ordinances to try to silence everything from music to ringing church bells. The good news is that the churchs are fighting back and winning. But the war goes on. Personally I think we have come to a sad point in our lives when we can't even bear to listen to church bells.

Sources: US Takes Control of Haiti

World Net Daily reports that the US is taking control of relief efforts in Haiti but another article from the Washington Times reports that Secretary Clinton is reviewing the effort and downplaying the US role in relief efforts ("we are here at your invitation..."). Whatever the case it is clear that the UN has been totally nonfunctional in Haiti for a long time and cannot function now. For once Joe Biden is right when he says we are going to be there for years to come.

Haiti: Where Will All the Money Go?

They say that every cloud has a silver lining and we can only hope that that is the case with the horrible situation in Haiti. I think it is safe to say that this small country has faced more depravation and misery than any other country in the world. My prayer is that this earthquake will bring about not only short term but long term solutions. Sometimes reform is only possible when a system totally collapses and needs to be rebuilt from the ground up. Maybe that's the case with Haiti. For now, give to Haiti relief with faith that God will make sure the money goes where it is needed most. It is critical you give to reliable charities with a good track record, such as the Red Cross, Lutheran World Relief and Food For The Poor. Above all, keep Haiti and the beautiful people there in your prayers

The True Cost of Health Care Reform

Great article written by a physician who specializes in health care economics. It is an excellent explanation of the current Medicare issues that physicians face. Cardiology and other specialty practices in Memphis embarked on a campaign last year to alert their Medicare patients and to urge them to take action with their Medicare representatives, senators and congressmen. I strongly urge physicians all over the country to do the same. Time is of the essense! Most people don't realize the negative effects reform will have on their Medicare benefits and that they the patients will bear the brunt of the costs associated with reform. If you or your loved ones are elderly or living with chronic illness now is the time to speak up before it is too late! Contact your medicare reps, your senators and congressmen TODAY!

Obama's Top Aide: Ban All Conspiracy Theories

More words of "wisdom" from my "favorite" czar Cass Sunstein. It is more obvious than ever that Mr Sunstein would like us to take the fast train to a socialist, totalian government--the faster the better! Mr Sunstein I am surprised you are not residing in Russia or Cuba or any other totalitarian communist state right now as you seem so clearly cut out for those kinds of government. Oh...that's right...you want to help create one here...

Democrats 'Plan To Steal the Vote'

So this is their plan--universal mandated voter registration. We are getting closer and closer to a totalitarian government. With all of the hoopla over health care and Haiti now, this bill could hit the floor and pass without anyone noticing. It just shows you how important it is to stay alert and informed as things are happening very fast now. Contact your reps, let them know you know about this possible highly illegal and unconstitutional bill and demand that they vote against it!

Obama, Lawmakers Seek Accord on Health Care

What a dicey game this is turning out to be. I urge everyone to consider donating even a small amount to the Scott Brown campaign in MA. His vote could be our ticket out of this mess and many others.

I for one plan to fight this to the very end so that my children and grandchildren will know that I did everything in my power to stop it.

God, Satan and the Birth of Haiti

Oh my goodness, Pat Robertson has really done it now with his comment that Haiti leaders made a pact with the devil 200 years ago to get rid of the French and that's why bad stuff keeps happening there. As usual Mr Robertson is a bit ham handed with the facts. Click on the title to see an article about this as it is actually quite fascinating. Our church participates in many mission trips to Haiti and one thing we have learned is that while the country is officially Catholic, Voo Doo is still heavily practiced. I personally would be interested to hear what Voo Doo practitioners think about this. Do disasters happen because of a curse or do they happen to cleanse a place of evil spirits? If so, then why do the disasters keep happening? You would think that one good natural disaster would chase away evil spirits forever or for at least a good long time. Why is Haiti so particularly unfortunate?

Afraid of Health Care Legislation?

Good article outlining the other side of the debate, debunking the so-called 4 myths of health care. Better yet are the comments, some of which are better written and display more of an understanding of the issues than the article itself! Still we must look at all sides of the debate. See what you think!

FREEDOM IN THE WORLD 2010: GLOBAL EROSION OF FREEDOM

FREEDOM IN THE WORLD 2010: GLOBAL EROSION OF FREEDOM Global freedoms have declined for the fourth year in a row. It is as if we humans have decided we no longer want to be free. How did we arrive at this sad state of affairs? I am one human who still wants to be free and it breaks my heart to see this happening. I can't understand why anyone would think that repressive rules that regulate every aspect of life would help us lead better lives. It's just not working for me.

Godspeed Miep Gies

I know that Miep Gies never thought of herself as a hero but in my mind she truly was because she faced great personal danger daily watching over the Frank family while they were in hiding. It is the small daily acts of courage as well as the big dramatic ones that make a hero. Thank God that the Netherlands was full of heros like Miep Gies. Because of them many lives were saved and a country survived a horrible war and occupation. Thank God we have Miep Gies and others like her as an example of what to do during terrible times. Do we turn people in to save ourselves or do we save ourselves by saving others? During the occupation people were starving and often turned in family, friends and neighbors just to get food for the day. The person who turned in the Frank family may have done so simply to survive. How remarkable that Otto Frank seemed to realize this and refrained from bringing shame on the man and his family. It would behoove us all to reflect on which path we would choose in similar circumstances. Go with God, Miep Gies and thank you for your shining example of a noble path.

Obama's Next Three Years

Click on the title to read an excellent article by former UN Ambassador John Bolton. He delineates what we can expect for the rest of Obama's presidency. I found what he had to say about global governance particularly ominous for America. If Obama can work his way through the problems left over from the Bush years there is no doubt in my mind that he will do all he can to take us in the direction of global governance. John Bolton has channeled Obama's thoughts and laid out his plan. We will all do well to read it carefully and keep his points in mind for the next elections. But always remember that Obama is not the only one with such aspirations and plans. It was a well known secret that former President Bill Clinton also had such aspirations, although he was not as open about them as Obama and others in his administration have been (they weren't so open during the campaign). There are others out there as well who have the same aspirations and if Obama is not there they will take us in the same direction unless we figure out pretty quickly what they stand for and defeat them in elections.

Is Non-Compliance Keeping You Sick?

Is Non-Compliance Keeping You Sick?

Posted using ShareThis Dr. Mark Wiley makes some excellent points about team work between patient and healer as well as the importance of compliance with a treatment plan for illness, especially chronic illness. As a nurse practitioner I wholeheartedly agree that compliance is key to any treatment regimen. A treatment regimen will work most of the time if used properly. Therefore the first thing to assess in any healer-patient interaction is compliance issues. I spend a lot of time first finding out what has worked and not worked for patients. Sometimes it takes awhile to uncover compliance issues but it is worth the effort because treatment plans are doomed to fail unless the issues are resolved.

I also agree that many patients want the healer to figure it all out and solve their problems. But this never works, largely because it was never meant to work that way in the first place. There is no "magic bullet" treatment plan, no "magic wand." Believe me I would have a magic wand if there was such a thing! The real key, the real "wand" here is that people have the power within them to achieve optimum health even with a chronic illness. The challenge is helping them realize they have it and then helping them access it so they "own" the problem along with the plan to solve it. So for all you patients out there who have struggled with chronic illness with no end in sight I have good news for you. You have it within you to be healthy or at least improve your status. With the right healer you can discover what is holding you back from achieving a better level of health. There may not be a cure, but you can come optimally close by charting your course with a healer that is in tune with your needs but who will also give you advice you may not want to hear at the time. But take time to hear it and take that first step to try. I promise you will be amazed at the results. Then keep taking more steps. You can do it!

For all you practitioners, physicians, nurses, and other healers take the time to assess compliance issues with your patients right from the beginning and throughout your interactions with them. Trust me, your treatment plans will fail if your patients haven't bought into them so don't waste your breath telling me you don't have the time. Resolving compliance issues will actually save time and money in the long run for you, your patients and society as a whole. Now that's reform that will really help patients and that we can pay for!

The System Works When a Dutchman is Onboard

The System Works When a Dutchman is Onboard

Posted using ShareThis When you read this article you will be amazed at the stuff the media is not reporting and even more amazed (if that's possible) at the incompetent ridiculous way the Obama administration is handling this whole affair. It is mind blowing that this guy was allowed to get on a plane with no luggage, and NO PASSPORT. When my husband and I flew home from England last year out of Heathrow airport our passports were carefully scrutinized at four different checkpoints including the INITIAL airport screening. At the boarding gate we, along with everyone else on the flight, were patted down, searched with a wand and our shoes were put through an xray scanner. Needless to say our takeoff was delayed about an hour. And yes they were checking children too. I can only imagine what would have happened if I had been insane enough to tell the ticket agent that I wanted to fly on the plane but didn't have a passport. I would probably be in jail right now as all this happened on a day when Obama was flying in for a summit. It makes sense to me that more than one person could have been involved, that this may have been an orchestrated attack . If so, with the number of red flags missed and the abundant incompetence on all levels it is time for this administration to wake up, get their heads out of dark places and realize the war on terror is still on. The other side hasn't quit fighting.

Eat This Book

Click on the title to read great thoughts on how evangelism today is losing its power because of lack of nourishment by the Word of God. Meditating on the Word of God is the way to feed our souls and to fuel evangelism. I like particularly what the author says about the differences between Eastern meditation and Biblical meditation. In Eastern meditation you empty your mind of everything so that new thoughts can come in. In Biblical meditation you fill your mind with the Word of God. The more you chew on the Word, the more you think about it, ultimately becoming closer to God. I have tried both methods and I find the Biblical meditation far more satisfying.

Switzerland's Brave Stand

Switzerland gets it.

They get that Islam is a religion of intolerance and dictatorship. They want nothing to do with it and they are matching words with action. They are taking a brave stand and the rest of the world needs to stand with them against Islam as well. Let's hope it is not too late.

A Perfect Hatred

Wow this article is so thought provoking I was almost reluctant to put it on the blog. But as Christians we need to confront things like this head on. So...do Christians hate? Is it right to hate things or concepts but not people? Does hate have a role in the Christian religion? What stand should we take when it comes to hate? These and all sorts of other questions may come to mind when you read this article so read on and let me know what you think.

End of the World in 2011?

Harold Camping, author of many end of the world books, now thinks that the world will end May 11, 2011 according to his mathematical calculations. Seeing as how his calculations have been wrong in the past, we shouldn't be quick to accept his new ones. As for end-of-the-world predictions in general, I side with Jesus Christ who said that we would not know the day nor the hour.

Church Male Population an Endangered Species?

Click on the title to read a very sobering and intriguing article that everyone interested in church growth should read. The author makes a very strong case that the lack of males and male involvement in church congregations, particularly those in the age range of 18-24, has a profound effect on their ability to become strong role models and family men. I came of age during the 70's Feminist Movement so I can see how easily men became forgotten. We just naturally assumed that they had it so good for so long that now it was our turn. But in forgetting, we lost touch with how to grow and develop strong, family oriented males. As I look at the state of the family in our society today I see we are paying a terrible price. The question is how to turn it around before it is too late? Or is it too late already?

Jeff Jacoby--Mayo Clinic to Stop Taking Medicare

Jeff Jacoby So far it is just one Mayo center that is going to stop taking Medicare but I agree with the author that the others will no doubt follow eventually. Either Obama is completely out of touch with reality or he is nudging us toward government controlled health care. Maybe it's both.

They Knew He Was On the Plane!!

"Screw Ups" or On Purpose? It's frightening and horrible to think about Obama and his cronies' screwups as being done on purpose but this actually makes sense to me. It makes sense mainly because there are so many of them.

Choosing Between Evils

Some interesting perspectives on profiling, climate change and other issues at hand. The trick is to maintain sanity and good judgement while trying to protect society as a whole. The author suggests that civilizations who cannot strike this balance have become incompetent. Is America becoming incompetent? I hope not and pray not but I fear it will be so if we don't wake up and reverse course.

Pearl Harbor Erased: Happy Islamic New Year!

Click on the title to read about the brou-ha-ha that ensued when a local store chain in Florida published a calendar marking Dec 7th as Islamic New Year and omitting Pearl Harbor Day. Outrage and disgust are just a few of the emotions I felt when I read this article. How tragic that there are people in this country who have forgotten or do not want to remember that day! The insipid response from the chain's public relations department indicates a desire to make the whole thing go away rather than address the mistake. The lesson in this is that when you forget your own history and do not have pride and love for your own country, it is easy for other cultures to take over.

U.S. health spending’s forgotten benefit

U.S. health spending’s forgotten benefit The Canadians realize the value of money spent on medical innovation and they appreciate the fact that they and the rest of the world constantly benefit from it. One problem with our current efforts at reform is that we are not addressing how to maintain a high level of research and innovation as well as access, cost control and coverage. In other words we haven't figured out how we will pay for it in the long term. All solutions so far are short term. If we use any of them eventually something will have to suffer. In most systems with national health care research and innovation are the usual casualties sacrificed in the name of coverage for everyone.

The American people have been patient but he needs to grow up quickly and realize he bears some responsibility in this.
