Would There Have Been a United States Without Christianity?

Excellent and very informative article by Gary DeMar challenging Brooke Allen's book "The Godless Constitution" and debating the principles of Christianity vs Enlightenment. The book "The Godless Constitution" is almost a manifesto in history and government high school and college classes these days so it would behoove everyone to know what your kids are reading and being taught. If they must read stuff like this, be sure you are supplying them with other points of view so they will be informed rather than indoctrinated. www.americanvision.org is an excellent source of historical and religious sources that will help counter Progressivism, agnosticism and atheism...and a host of other "isms!" If we have any hope of preserving this country we must learn and understand the values and principles that formed our founding documents and government.

What In The Health Is Going On?

I love the analogy to Alice In Wonderland because I have felt like Alice many times since the Obama administration took office--trying to perceive a fantasy world through the lens of human experience. I have often felt, as Alice did, that I can't find my feet. Indeed it is tough to stay grounded nowadays! If it weren't for my faith in God I think I would have floated away and disintegrated a long time ago!

The good news is that there are still ways to stay grounded. Faith in God, faith in our country, faith in each other and faith in our beliefs will help us stand firm against the rising storm. If you are not sure of your beliefs I invite you to do some soul searching. The beliefs and values that helped make this country great are timeless and still apply. But don't just take my word for it. Take the time to educate yourself. Start with the websites on my blog list that deal with history and health care. There are great books listed on these websites such as those in The American Vision that are reasonably priced. Get some and read them. Grab a Bible and read that too as it is the foundation of our Constitution and American values. Now is the time to start learning as there may come a time when opportunities to learn and think for yourself will be very limited. Only with education and enlightenment can we keep our freedom!

Americans targeted for Jihad recruitment

Pretty scary! Click on the title for a news story about Jihad recruitment tactics targeted to Americans. What is even more frightening to me is the possibility that Americans would fall for this stuff. The Islamic Jihad movement has found an ally in our right to religious freedom and expression (Article I, The Constitution of the United States). They want us to believe that we are infringing on their rights if we speak out against them. At what point do we stop fearing being called racist and Islam haters and stand against the Islamatization of our country? Look at what is happening to Britain and other European countries. We in America would still like to believe that we can all live peacefully and respect each others' religious beliefs. But the world has changed. If you want to more fully understand Islam and the nature of the threat we face, I recommend you read They Must Be Stopped by Brigette Gabriel. It will open your eyes but be forewarned. You will never think about Islam the same way again.
