You've hit the nail on the head. It seems to almost be the mantra of America as of late.. to apologize for how badly we've treated the world; and yet we seem to be the only ones coming to the aid of victims of despotism, tyranny and people are still fleeing to this country because of the rights they would enjoy as citizen's.
