Axelrod Compares Prejean to a Dog

What is it about beautiful women that causes people to want to attack them? Is it jealousy? A sense of inadequacy? Fear? Just a desire to destroy? Or is it simply the desire to control her and put her in her place? In Mr. Axelrod's world it isn't enough to disagree with your opponent. You must disagree and destroy your opponent, especially if your opponent is a beautiful woman who is not afraid to stand up for her beliefs. The greatest weapon used against women is not a gun or a knife but words, especially cruel words directed at appearance and intelligence. Those who use words as weapons know how well they can work and indeed many a woman has been brought down sometimes just by a few words. But when I look at Ms Prejean and others like her I realize how tough and strong this next generation of women has become. They seem to have no fear of name calling and words used against them. You can call them all the names you want Mr Axelrod. They are not afraid of you. You cannot destroy them. They are here to stay.
