Rumbles hint that Mount Fuji is getting angry - physics-math - 05 May 2010 - New Scientist I climbed Mt Fuji in 1985 and am still in awe at how beautiful it was at the top, looking down into the crater. My husband climbed a few years later and said the crater was steaming at the time. At the time it's pristine beauty and stillness belied that it was an active volcano. I cannot imagine what it would be like if this beautiful symbol of Japan would erupt. But it is a volcano and well....that's what volcanoes do every once in awhile.
