FREEDOM IN THE WORLD 2010: GLOBAL EROSION OF FREEDOM Global freedoms have declined for the fourth year in a row. It is as if we humans have decided we no longer want to be free. How did we arrive at this sad state of affairs? I am one human who still wants to be free and it breaks my heart to see this happening. I can't understand why anyone would think that repressive rules that regulate every aspect of life would help us lead better lives. It's just not working for me.
