Health Care Reform Leads to ER Overcrowding
Increased coverage doesn't necessarily mean increased access to care. Medicaid patients make up the highest users of ER care. Health care reform will add 16 million more patients to the Medicaid ranks. There aren't enough primary care providers to take care of all these new patients so where do you think they will go when they need help? That's right, to the ERs which is the most expensive way to care for patients. True reform needs to address cost and access, not just coverage. Do you think congress thought about this? Not!!
They Signed For Us
They Signed For Us What a wonderful article by Chip Wood from Personal Liberty reminding us of the determination and sacrifices of those who signed the Declaration of Independence! There is a link at the end of the article where you can get a free download of the book They Signed For Us, by Merle Sinclair and Annabel Douglas MacArthur. As we prepared to celebrate Independence Day may we all reflect upon whether or not we are prepared to pledge "our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor" to our nation once again. Are we willing to endure the hardships and losses that some of the signers did for our country, our liberty? How many of us would be willing to sign the Declaration of Independence today, knowing that we could be branded as terrorists and traitors? As we head for the beaches, fire up the grills, and watch the fireworks let us also count the cost of freedom. The time is coming when we will have to pay the price. Are we ready?

Obamacare tanning tax arrives tomorrow | Washington Examiner
Obamacare tanning tax arrives tomorrow Washington Examiner Time to start writing about Obamacare again, as the tanning bed tax starts tomorrow. This is the first of many more taxes to come. Starting tomorrow there will be a 10% tax just to use a tanning bed. Some genius thought this would be a great way to raise money but I wonder if they thought about what would happen if people simply stopped using tanning beds to avoid the tax? Hmmm....
GOPUSA » Commentary » Adamo: Spare Us The Kagan Confirmation Charade
GOPUSA » Commentary » Adamo: Spare Us The Kagan Confirmation Charade Christopher Adamo explains why Elena Kagan's confirmation to the Supreme Court will be a major threat to our Constitution. We have a President who has described the Constitution as "a collection of negative liberties" so it stands to reason his court nominees would share his opinion, as Elena Kagan most certainly does. Call your senators now and demand that they filibuster her confirmation!
Kagan's Partial Birth Extremism--One More Time
I wasn't going to write anymore about this issue but this editorial from the Washington Times was just too good to pass up. Click on the title to read it. It explains better than I ever could why Kagan should not be confirmed.
