UN Elects Iran To Its Commission On Womens Rights
And the United States stood silently by and allowed this to happen. Disgraceful!!!! Women were thrown under the bus in a deal to keep Iran off the Human Rights Committee. We women should sit up and take notice, especially women who voted for Obama, as this is part and parcel of this administrations efforts to apologize and appease this government. We have been sold to appease the Devil. It should be obvious that in allowing this to happen this administration cares little for the rights of women. It's all about power and all about votes. Why aren't women all over the country screaming about this?

Click on the link for some intriguing insights as to the difference between men and women leaders. The author ponders whether more women leaders would make a difference in the level of philandering that goes on among elected officials. Perhaps it would make a difference. Anthropological studies of cultures led by women show more family style governing practices and far less wars. But I still think that ultimately what it comes down to is the presence of a servant heart. If you are ultimately guided by self serving motives you are far more likely to be corrupted by power whether you are male or female.

Top Ten Rules in the Quran That Women Must See
Click on the title to read a fascinating article about rules from the Quran and the Hadith concerning women. Then you tell me how anyone can make a case that Islam promotes freedom, equality and respect for women. I would like to hear from anyone out there who can explain to me why any woman would find Islam attractive considering these rules. And don't tell me they are taken out of context. The Quran is pretty explicit and so is the Hadith.

Movie's Spotlight on Stoning Death Brings Abuse Out of the Shadows
Click on the title to read the article about the movie The Stoning of Soraya M. The subject of this movie--the stoning of a woman accused of adultery--should cause everyone in the world to be outraged. How can any religion claiming to worship God allow such things to happen to women? Why would women want to be a part of any religion that would subjugate them so thoroughly? How could Obama have the nerve to say to the world that women have the right to choose a life of tradition? It seems to me that most women in their right minds would run like the wind away from such a life if they had a choice. Is he that stupid that he thinks women in those cultures have a choice? More likely he knows full well that they don't. I wonder if he realizes that when he gave that speech saying women could choose, he actually opened the door for more abuses. As hard as it is, we need to face this issue squarely and fight like hell to make sure it never happens here. We should never tolerate any religion or lifestyle that espouses such cruel practices.
