Judge strikes down healthcare reform law Reuters This decision was much broader than the
Virginia one because the judge ruled that the
individual mandate was unconstitutional and couldn't be separated from the rest of the bill. So basically the entire law is invalidated if this decision stands. It is almost a certainty that it will go to the
Supreme Court now. The fireworks have already begun but in my humble opinion this was to be expected since
Congress was crazy enough to pass this bill without making absolutely sure it was constitutional. This is what happens when bills are rushed through without reading them!
