Will the Real Ellie Light Please Stand Up?

Apparently Ellie Light called into a radio show and fessed up to her letter spamming scheme, which I shall call "lettergate." Since I am a nurse it is hard for me to imagine any traveling nurse having the time to write letters to the editors of over 70 newspapers. After a busy day at work I have trouble mustering up the energy to write just one letter. But that's just me! I really doubt this person is the real deal. What is sad to me is that the letters to the editor section was the only section I really pay attention to in any newspaper these days. Now I won't even be able to trust that!

Wow this would be hilarious if it weren't so pitiful. Click on the title for details. I have seen stuff by Mark Spivey on various blogs but nothing by Ellie Light. These people are certainly ingenious if not just down right devious. In my mind it is just more evidence of the incredible publicity machine that built Obama's image. Supposedly these people are getting paid to generate these letters. I am in the wrong business! The lesson learned here is to stay alert and look for patterns in blog posts and letters to the editor.
