Charles Krauthammer - Constitutionalism It is amusing and at the same time sad to think of Republicans and Democrats fighting about who owns the flag or the Constitution because all of us as Americans should think of ourselves as owners of both!! Have we drifted so far from our founding principles that we have forgotten this? Mr Krauthammer makes some great points as to why the Constitution is still relevant for American politics and jurisprudence. It was wonderful to hear the Constitution read by Congress this week. Now let's hope they truly take it to heart when crafting legislation. And let's hope all Americans heart and hold their representatives accountable to the founding documents of our country. We must always remember that we ignore the Constitution at our peril.
